USGS Great Lakes Science & Research Facility

Huron, Ohio

A specialized federal research and marine operations facility developed to support the mission of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Martek provided turnkey development, design-build delivery, and infrastructure modernization services to transform multiple outdated facilities into a consolidated mission-critical research environment. The project integrates laboratory, office, logistics, waterfront, and vessel support functions into a single operational platform that enhances efficiency, collaboration, and long-term mission performance.

Department of Homeland Security Secure Operations Center

Idaho Falls, Idaho

Developed by Martek, this mission-critical federal facility was designed to support specialized homeland security operations within a secure and resilient environment.

Serving as the at-risk developer, Martek managed the acquisition, redevelopment, and delivery of the facility, including major modernization, security enhancements, and infrastructure improvements necessary to support sensitive government missions. The project was successfully completed on schedule and within budget despite exceptionally challenging winter construction conditions.
